Life: The Birth

Life: The Birth
Joel Buensalida

The hands of time gently stroke all of the numbers
As every strands of seconds approaches twelve
T’was a day from January to December
When a chapter of life is added on shelves

The candles comfortably sit on the cake
While balloons passionately kiss the ceiling
Waiting gifts to be unwrapped is what’s at stake
Wishes and surprises keep on unveiling

Every notes of life plays the melodies of birth
So great that it simply collates with harmony
The gleaming moment will just come and go in mirth
Like treasuring the joy while dumping agony
‘Life: The Birth’ is my 124th poem which was written last March 8, 2005 under ‘The Return Of The Fonts’ chapter. This is a “Birthday Poem”. If you are celebrating your birthday today, this composition is for you.
