Lost and Found

There are things in this world which are out of our control. You can plan ahead but you can’t just simply predict what will happen. Driving. At first, you’re confident that you already know the directions since you’ve been to that location a couple of times. Suddenly, you’re confronted with two unfamiliar directional road signs and you have to decide in an instant which one are you going to take. It’s like driving a sedan car on your own in the middle of nowhere. TomTom or Apple Maps are not cooperating to give you the exact directions. This is the gray area of what you have planned. This part of your life is called “lost”.

What happens when you’re lost? If you’re all alone, you’ll experience a feeling of either pushing really hard to find your destination or simply giving up to find your way back home. It escalates to a deeper feeling when you keep on coming back to the same direction for nth number of times and you still find yourself helpless. Praying. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6.

Which way?
Which way?

Life is a journey and there are no short cuts. One way or another you will find the right way at the right time. Seeking. Being lost is part of the journey. For you to be able to continue, you should have the desire to find a way to your destination because someone special is patiently waiting on the other side. Pursue what you’ve started and don’t give up. There’s nothing wrong on seeking someone else’s help. Don’t let your pride to devour you.

On the spur of the moment, you’re back on track. Déjà vu. You’re confronted with two unfamiliar directional road signs. There are no rooms on making the same mistake all over again. It’s like driving a sedan car while Vanessa Carlton’s A Thousand Miles is playing in the background…”Cause you know I’d walk a thousand miles, If I could just see you, tonight”. You now have a motivation to move on and continue on the journey called life. The gray area is now replaced with rainbow colors and a pot of gold on one end. This part of your life is called “found”. Lost and Found.
